Dugout Keeper is a scorekeeping app for baseball and softball games. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how that information is stored.

Summary

Dugout Keeper does not operate a developer-run backend and does not sell personal data. Game information you enter is stored on your device and, if iCloud syncing is enabled on your device, may also sync through your personal iCloud account using Apple CloudKit.

Information the App Handles

The app stores information that you enter, which may include:

  • game details such as title, date, location, weather, league, and notes

  • team names and team abbreviations

  • player names, jersey numbers, positions, handedness, and lineup information

  • pitcher information and pitcher appearance history

  • umpire names

  • game events such as pitches, hits, outs, baserunning events, and scoring events

  • folders or organization data you create inside the app

How Information Is Stored

On-device storage

Dugout Keeper stores app data locally on your device using Apple system storage frameworks.

Cloud sync

If iCloud is enabled for the app on your device, Dugout Keeper may sync your data across your devices using Apple CloudKit private database storage associated with your Apple Account.

We do not have access to your private CloudKit data.

Data Collection by the Developer

We do not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, or usage profiles on our own servers.

We do not run a developer-operated backend that receives your scorekeeping data.

Third-Party Services

The app relies on Apple services and frameworks, including:

  • iCloud / CloudKit, if enabled on your device, for private sync

  • App Store services for app distribution and account infrastructure provided by Apple

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data.

We do not share your scorekeeping data with third-party advertisers or data brokers.

Any syncing or account-related processing provided through Apple services is handled by Apple under Apple's own terms and privacy practices.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data remains in your local app storage and, if enabled, your private iCloud storage until you delete it.

You can delete data from within the app. Removing the app from your device may remove local app data from that device. iCloud-stored data may also remain in your iCloud account until removed in accordance with Apple's platform behavior and settings.

Children's Privacy

Dugout Keeper is a general audience app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through developer-operated systems.

Security

Data stored on your device is protected by the security features of your device and Apple operating system. If iCloud sync is enabled, Apple provides the CloudKit infrastructure used for private syncing.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will post the updated version at this URL and update the effective date above.
